This book was recommended to me by several friends, and I think if I had been better prepared on what to expect, I would have appreciated it more. What is it about? Well, nothing, really. The story isn’t the star of the show, but rather the author’s brilliant ability to create elaborate visual escapism is. If you like getting caught up in the mysterious fantasy of magic and wonder, even if the plot leaves something to be desired, then you’ll love this book.
