Reflections of a Variant

Jesus and John Wayne takes a historical look at the coming to power of the religious right. Kristin Kobes dives into how issues like abortion, racism, and family values were leveraged, under the guise of Christianity, to create a powerful conservative voting block, and the Christian Nationalists we see today. I thoroughly enjoyed the information and the history in this book, although I am not sure I completely agree with the author’s assignment of conspiracy-like intentions. I also recommend the paper copy as the audio book recording isn’t high quality.
