Book Review: Bruchko

Bruchko is the true story of 19 year old missionary Bruce Olsen who travels to South America to share the gospel with the notorious Motilone tribe. I was in High School the first time I read this book and it changed the way I viewed global missions forever and started my own journey to distinguish between actual biblical values and western cultural traditions. Bruce wanted the Motilone to know their creator without compromising their culture and everything that made them who they are. White evangelicals have a reputation for being a colonizing machine, and we have to learn to eliminate that practice while sharing the hope of Jesus with the world. This is my favorite book and each time I purchase a new copy I give it away.
